Greetings, welcome back to the life page. Today nothing much happened, besides me wanting to procrastinate my sleep in the morning, only to then be abruptly interrupted by an EAS message on my phone that started out of nowhere. It was just a test though, nothing dangerous was happening, but I was still so god damn pissed that my sleep was abruptly interrupted. 10 minutes later sirens started outside as well, which I was like "They are doing way too much for just a simple test". 45 minutes later I get another EAS message saying that "the test has been finished". Apparently the german authorities have warned citizens about this going to happen, but as you know me I don't really look up into that stuff pretty often.

Anyway, after that I was just on my computer and was just consuming general media, since I had nothing to do. Suddenly out of nowhere I get an idea to add languages to AZQUPOIT, to which then I immediately went to work. Soon after though, I would figure out that I can't really put a bulgarian translation onto the website, I mean well I can, but the letters themselves were too wide and I unfortunately couldn't do much about that, so I scrapped the whole idea altogether. I would probably retry this idea in the future, but for now it's too difficult for me to do. After that, I wanted to optimize the website, since, you'd want it to be fast and secure, right? Well, I want to make a subdomain which would make it so that you can view this website on computers running old operating system's default browsers (such as Windows XP and/or Mac OS X Snow Leopard), and another subdomain for running super old browsers on their respective operating systems (such as Windows 95 and/or Mac OS 9), so forget everything I ever said about fast and secure about those subdomains! I would want to make sure my website is viewable even on a 30+ year old browser, just cause of the fun of it, you know?

I have started to work on them, and probably by the next 3 days they are going to be done. I don't know what they are going to be called, but I'll figure it out. That's for today.

Hello everybody! Azqu here. Over the past few days I have been messing around with computers, and just today I went to the school for them to give me information. So, the day before yesterday I was looking at my laptops and I was thinking of myself "Hey, why don't I swap the SSD and the HDD from one laptop to another?", 'Cause I have a laptop which I barely use that has an SSD in it and a laptop which is exactly like my main computer but 5 years older, having a HDD. So, I got my screwdriver and started unmounting the screws for it. There, I found so much dust from where the exhaust fan is (since to be fair this is an ASUS ROG from 2009), so I first got rid of the dust and then removed everything. There, I found the 16 year old hard drive. It was a 500GB one, to which I was swapping out with a 256GB SSD, but it's fine. So, I got my other laptop and started unscrewing it as well. I got rid of the SSD from it and got rid of the HDD from the ASUS, and put in the SSD into the ASUS, and put in the HDD into the other laptop. Now, yes, I did backup the files to a flash drive, so I wasn't erasing anything. I backed up circa 40GB of data, for both machines accounted. So, the ASUS laptop originally had Windows 7, and considering the HDD it had before was running Windows 8.1 (due to 8.1 being better for HDD's than 7), I was thinking of putting 7 on it, and that's exactly what I did. Oh, and also, for the other laptop, it originally had Windows 10, so I figured I would put Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 on it as well. So yes, I have installed Windows 10 on it and left it as that. The ASUS ROG though, was way more exciting, mainly due to me imagining how Windows 7 would work on a SSD. I installed the operating system, installed the drivers, optimized windows itself, and it ran with ~700MB on idle! It's quite relieving to see such a low number of RAM after applying so many settings.

Anyway, for today, at around 9 AM I had to go to the city to see when the hell I am gonna begin school, and when I went to the secretary and told her what's going on, she told me that I would have a letter come to my mailbox and from there I would have information and I would have to come again on the 17th. School itself starts on the 21st. Now, the concept of school starting on the 21st is really surprising to me, considering everytime my school started it has always been on the 15th of September. But it's fine, I get to have time alone with myself for a bit more and better yet, there would be just one week of September and then it would immediately become October, to which then I finally make 16.

That's about it, the previous days weren't that interesting, so I just waited until something interesting happened to write it in here. That's for today.

Hi guys! Please forgive me for not giving any updates recently, I just don't really know what to do/there's nothing to do. Anyway, today at 2 till 9 in the morning I was tinkering around with my macbook, you know, nothing special. I decided I would erase the Linux Mint 21.3 from it. since, even though as promised that Linux Mint would make my computer faster, it has indeed made my computer slower actually. The thing took 30 seconds to load into the desktop from the logon screen and then when you launch Firefox, it would take 3 minutes to load into the homescreen. IF you do anything else, the entire computer would freeze. You'd have to hard reset. I've gotten really pissed off from this (whenever I feel like using my macbook) since considering that this is a late 2009 model, any optimization and optimal setting has to be applied. What I did for Linux Mint 21.3 and its settings apparently were not enough. So, I just figured that I would erase the whole damn thing and put AntiX on it! I am actually familiar with AntiX believe it or not, since I am coming from MX Linux and I've heard that they're similar or something.

Anyway, I formatted my usb with the AntiX installer and installed the operating system. First off, IceWM is great, yeah, but for customization and theming, it's terrible. Everytime I install Linux on an Apple branded device, I always have the urge to theme it to look as most close to as MacOS. Not that I neccesarily like MacOS that much, but you know, this is a Macintosh. It essentially would need to look like MacOS in my opinion. IceWM is like, so terrible for that. I know, community made themes that are made to mimic MacOS exist on IceWM and its window manager, but I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but the themes I got were trying to replicate the Aqua interface from old Mac OS X. First it didn't even look that good and second it wasn't my goal at all. I got pretty pissed off from that and so I would just decide to abandon IceWM and move on to XFCE. Not like the memory would increase by a whole lot or anything. XFCE is like a night and day difference, you have no idea. It was so simple to configure everything, hell it probably took less than an hour. The end result is something I have which is a dock, top bar, and whenever people look at my computer have the pleasure to say that it runs Linux by the way. So yes, I have essentially turned obsolete 2009 hardware into something somewhat usable.

Now, after that, I decided I would just turn the computer off and, you know, clean up my room a little bit, since I have had a bunch of cables and stuff on my floor for a week or two now which I haven't gotten rid of, which presumably is because of me existing in Bulgaria for August, but I could have just been lazy and just put everything to the floor. Regardless, I wanted to clean everything, and not have to deal with stepping on stuff everytime I walk on my mat. The entire process took 3 and a half hours by the way. I am a very slow person, which is just how I work with stuff. At some point, I realised that LED lights exist in my drawer, which I have then took and put them behind my TV, which, they look absolutely stunning. I placed them, I put on rain noises to my TV, and just laid to bed. Not without shortly realising that I still have to put together my main setup, since I had my macbook on to my desk as temporary. So, I quickly got rid of all the cables, and redid where every single cable went and basically did most optimal placements for them. It looked 10x better, that's for sure.

Anyway, that is for today. Other than that absolutely nothing else happened. Today is Saturday, so in about 2 days I would have to go to my school and see what they're up to. I still am waiting patiently for the job...

Domain! Well technically I got a domain yesterday (since I wanted to take a nap but turned into a 10 hour rem sleep) but I am so happy I am off Neocities. Don't get me wrong, Neocities is such a brilliant website for site creation and such, but I don't really like that I have to pay 5 bucks a month just to have a custom domain to it. If you've noticed, that's the whole reason why instead of an mp3 playing on the site, it's from a catbox moe link. This was really my best alternative since I couldn't even upload mp3 files onto Neocities, but I can do whatever I want now with GitHub (if you haven't noticed GitHub is the thing that has the website files now and Cloudflare is the host)!

Other than that, nothing else happened. Was talking with friends earlier about there being a discriminator in discord tags. We really should start maturing. The whole deal with discrimination, ranked, *insert smt here* pro max and more are really just inside jokes that we are refusing to forget, and I don't really know how to feel about that to be honest. On one side I am like: Sure, you could keep on using the same jokes over and over as long as they're funny. Then the other side of me is like: We need more. We shouldn't just use the same jokes over and over again. There is literally no improvement from 2 years ago to now. I don't know, I'm probably just overthinking stuff again. Reminds me of the time I used to take jokes seriously in 2021-22. I would literally be so annoying to people and spam them with skull emojis in every single message, and then wonder why people are telling me that I'm annoying and repetitive. Well, the times have changed quite a bit now and fortunately I'm not like the person I used to be. Or am I?

Seriously though, the motive of today is that you should change as a person if you feel like you are doing wrong with yourself. You could argue that I changed due to puberty, hormonal changes and stuff like that, but I digress. I personally feel like no matter the age you could change as a person and be a better person to you, and to everybody else.

Hello! This is the very first post from the life page! Hope you like it here. Anyway, yes. August is indeed coming to an end and I still feel like I just need a bit more time with myself in peace. Not sure if it's due to me procrastinating the entire month (or year that is) but I still feel like I want just a bit more time. Perhaps, that may be due to me starting a job in September.

Yeah, you hear that? I never had a proper job before, so this will be all new to me. Especially because I am in Germany, so it's just even better. I'm not sure how much money exactly I would be getting from my job, but I am sure it would be enough to buy a domain for this website. Yes, I really want to buy a domain for a website like this one. I want to move on from Wix since they charge like 20 bucks per month to subscribe to their cheapest plan to remove their advertising and for adding custom domains, which I might mention is just... ridiculous. GitHub on the other hand is a platform I really love because they have made it so people can easily make websites and also, do not charge you 20 bucks for just adding a domain! Also, GitHub doesn't have any subscriptions at all for wanting to remove ads! You see the clear winner now?

Anyway, I got too ahead of myself. Yes, I will be getting my own money, which is what I am only excited about. I assume a job would be just like school, temporary people that are going to be gone one day. Regardless though, I am excited to see the outcome of this, and perhaps even start thinking of getting a new computer...
